The Pallet Garden Challenge
About the Challenge
The challenge is aimed at individuals or groups/classes with an interest in gardening & outdoor living and requires the creation of an attractive pallet garden to be displayed at the show based on their interpretation of the theme 'Northwest Garden Show'.
Open Class: Pallet Challenge
Open to all groups, societies, clubs, businesses and gardening enthusiasts.
The exhibit must not exceed 1m width x 1m depth x max 2m height (measured from the ground).

A pallet will be provided to competitors in advance of show.

Entrants may not dig into the ground.
Pallet Garden Challenge Rules

Each exhibit which must bear a title, be practical, of strong design. It must comprise of predominantly living plant material with hard/soft landscaping components such as rockery stones, ornaments or other props being kept to a minimum.

Plant material may overhang the collar within a reasonable distance.

The use of recycled materials is promoted.

The exhibit must be designed to be viewed from a distinguishable front.

The use of a backdrop is permitted within stated dimensions.

Competitors must provide a brief overview of the exhibit including the names of the plants used, and/or other useful information.

Competitors must be available to assemble and break down their exhibit as guided by the event organisers.

Competitors will also be responsible for transporting their exhibit material to and from the event site.
